Professor Tom Doetschman, PhD, published a review in Circulation Research on the applications of CRISPR-based gene editing to cardiovascular disease. This exciting new technology provides us with the ability not only to produce genetic animal models of human disease, but also with the potential to repair those disease mutations in human patients.
